Staple Breakfast

This simple recipe has been a staple breakfast! It's simple. It's fast. It's delicious. Most importantly, it's healthy. Sweetened with honey, or my favorite DIY blueberry syrup made with 1/3 cup frozen blueberries, 1 tbs grade A maple syrup (microwave for 20 seconds) and you have yourself a delicious staple breakfast. I blend it all in my magic bullet, pour into a pan, then viola, pancakes. It's so delicious!
I do find myself more focused than before with what I put in my mouth. My sweet tooth is insane! I LOVE candy, and chocolate, and my green tea ice cream, anything desserts I will tear it up. It's will power, dedication, focus! I can sit here, type a bunch of notes to assist with my positive thinking but in the end it's up to me. Moderation. Excuses. "I'll just eat 1, it wont make a difference," will turn to "just 1 more..." The next thing you know, the cookie jar is empty. So I try to be food conscious without overdoing it. How balance what I love to eat with what I can substitute it with is like a fun game, and it keeps things interesting! I mainly go on pintrest or google to see healthier alternatives. At first I was apprehensive and scowled at the thought of "vegetable candy" "healthy cupcakes" ... like "Wtf", if I was going to eat a cupcake, I am going to eat A CUPCAKE. That was exactly the type of mindset that was causing me to fail. I've been exercising off and on during the past 3 years and my body was like a "yo-yo" going from skinny, to skinny fat, to fat in my problem areas, and the reason was my lack of focus with what I was putting in my mouth. Once I forced myself to change that habit (which wasn't easy at first) I found it easier to be consistent with my workouts and fueling my body with the right nutrients.
I am not brave to post my before picture yet, but I will soon, promise. I've lost 5 inches total so far throughout my bod. Gotta keep it up.
