Love is in the air. Happy Valentines Day! The day was spent with awesome company. This year is starting it great. My old friends and family who have not been as close as we used to were together. It started off at Espetus Churrascaria Brazilian Steak House and the food was amazing. The waiters had what I believe were authentic Brazilian accents who would come to the tables offering various kinds of meat. As long as your card was placed green side, that meant a GO for more meat, and if it was turned red side, then it was a pause. All you can eat sides/veggies galore, it was very delicious. Afterwards we headed to Union Square to take some photos at the famous "HEART" statue. Then we were off to the famous PIER 39, then chilled by the beach before heading back to home sweet home.
These beautiful hills and wind mill farm. I never get tired looking at it and I find myself always taking photos. I'm so tempted to just stop and do a photoshoot right then and there. But first, Starbucks run!
The cutest salt & pepper shaker
That bill though.
Channeling our inner street fashion persona.
We were so excited for Frozen on Ice! I wish I had photos to share but unfortunately my camera was not allowed. I took some vids and shots from my phone shared on FB. I was disappointed about not being able to bring my camera in because our seats were so close from the ice rink, literally 4 rows away. We've been to Disney on Ice before but this was the closest we've ever been. My family enjoyed it so much! It was one of the best we've seen so far.
Afterwards, me and Nava decided that date night was going to be at Kyodai, our favorite sushi spot as of late. It's a chic modern Japanese joint smack in the middle of town in one of the most hottest spot in Stockton. Sometimes when I'm there, I forget about all of the bad reputation this city has.
Window shopping at its finest. I try my best to spend quality time with my family. We do go on frequent outings, usually my mom, my sister, my brother, cousins, aunts, my daughter and Nava. He always tries to find new spots to bring the kids. On this particular day which started out lovely, we decided to go to the Lost World, but before that we headed to the Paragon Outlet.
I window shopped a bit. I don't mind. It's Nava who has problem with it. I have to remind him to contain himself otherwise he will go all out, haha. It began to rain all of a sudden, and I'm talking about Tornado Warning Weather Rain. The light post on the streets were shaking quite violently and when we finally arrived at the Lost World, there was a power outage. People were upset because they couldn't even get their refund due to the lost of power. The kids were devastated but I kind of thought it would be a funny story to tell someday. About an hour later the powers came back on. Problem solved. The kids had fun, I was able to shoot some photos. It was definitely an interesting day.
Valentine's Day is coming up and a group of us are going out to the city to celebrate. Attire choice is limited as the Bay Area weather tends to be overcast or rain 80% of the time. I'm loving scarfs as of late so that's definitely a must that day. I'm also opting for these black wedge booties which are so comfortable yet stylish. So I am planning my outfit around these wedge booties, a white biker jacket, and black ripped jeans.
Although mentioned a little late, I did want to take the time to mention about my new toy that Nava was so kind and generous enough to get me. I've wanted this camera for quite some time now but I've been pushing purchasing it aside, not to mention that I already had a 60D. I wanted a full frame DSLR so bad so I thought I'd save money, but things kept coming up, mommy duty and all. So when he decided that he'd surprise me by taking me to Best Buy after our morning venture at Mama's Pho, I was both excited and apprehensive, if you can imagine. "Call it an early Valentines day gift" or birthday present to HIM that HE gets ME this camera he says. I'm so thankful! Thankful that he encourages this little hobby of mine.
