I always feel very reminiscent this time of year. It has been warmer than usual this time around. Just 2 weeks ago, it still felt like Spring. Then the rain came and so did the cold! In instant, the transition was that quick. Time to get the parkas and coats out!
Happy Thanksgiving! It was a day filled with togetherness. Spent the day in the kitchen, grubbing, then of course Black Friday. There was nothing I desperately wanted or needed this time, although I am eyeing a new lens for my camera.
Now lets talk food! I spent the night before preparing the sides. I wanted the following day dedicated to tending the turkey. Sides were mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese, veggies, stuffing, cornbread - I think the quintessential thanksgiving sides. Ham was bought from Honey Baked Ham. Turkey was made by hubs.
All in all, it was a delicious feast! Thank you Lord! #Blessed.
I am impossibly inlove with this stuff. Argan oil also known as golden liquid has wonderful substantial properties that are beneficial for your skin. I have a combination type skin, T-zone oily with dry cheeks. I've been using this along side with my Lancome Genefique and my skin has never felt better. Think it's a little weird putting oil on your face? It isn't.
I believe it balances how much oil the face secretes and by adding an organic substance it tricks your skin into NOT producing too much. In any case, I'm sure the science is entirely google friendly, and this is all from my understanding of it and how it works for my skin.
I saw this wonderful deal on QVC.COM and could not pass up so I purchased 2, one for me and as a gift for my mom who I got into using and loving Argan Oil as well. My sister who has very sensitive and dry skin is also using this product and so far, no breakouts. If I sound like a fanatic, it's because I am.
Also debuting Josie's newest product are her perfumes. I got the unscented which ironically supposedly has an orange/honey scent that is very light. I also can't wait to try the body butter.
Goodnight!
Cake, family, fun, good food. My nephew turned 7. He's growing up to be such a smart and handsome boy. He had the perfect theme - Ninja Turtles !!
Our time in Hawaii was much too short! I'm already wishing I was back there. The weather was PERFECT, even in the rain. The waters were warm. The views were breathtaking. The locals were so friendly. We left a piece of our heart there and best believe we are going back again. As if THAT wasn't memorable enough, we were blessed to have our entire family come. That was everything to me. I couldn't have enjoyed it to the fullest without them. My cousin Liza who'd been there before showed us around the island. Sadly I did not take many pictures but I did VLOG the majority of the time.
Maliyah posing for the camera. It was around 3 or 4 am when we had to wake up to catch our San Francisco flight to Hawaii.
Patiently waiting for our flight.

Can't say that I am. Maliyah really enjoys dancing jazz and ballet for now, it keeps her busy until she starts school this year. Today was her Dance Recital called Once Upon a Dream. She and her auntie Karley have been practicing super hard for a few months. This will be her second recital. I am always so proud of her! I am always going to be the type of mom to follow her dreams whatever they are.
Sadly I forgot to take a picture with the dancer! Sucks being behind the camera all the time, I forget to ask someone to take one of me.
Lila with her very proud daddy!
The process to own this home was such a stressful and overwhelming experience with an end result that made it truly worth it.
The renovation starts with removing the entire carpet from the first floor. We went to Lowes to pick out the floors. This part was really fun!
Carpets removed!
Taking advantage of drawing on the bare floor.
My dad is self taught carpenter, mad PROPS to him for setting the floors all by himself. He's AMAZING ^___^
Hot mess.
Upstairs we kept it all carpet. I always loved these designs professional carpet cleaners do. I can never do it!
So we want to take it slow with the renovations. Next big project will be the kitchen tiles and counter tops.
Till next time!
